Resource Tags

Basic Concepts

• Resource Tag: A key-value pair bound to cloud resources for classification, search, and management.

• Tag Key: The category field of a tag, such as environment or project.

• Tag Value: The specific value under a tag key, such as prod or test.

• Resource Tag Query: Searches resources by tag key and value.

The Resource Tags page is used to query resources by tag and maintain resource tags. Go to Tags > Resource Tags, select a region, and use Tag Key and Tag Value as filters. The resource table displays Resource ID, Resource Name, Cloud Product, Region, Tag Count, and Operation.

Query Resources by Tag

Querying resources by tag quickly locates resources that share the same tag.

1. On the Resource Tags page, select Tag Key.

2. Select the corresponding Tag Value.

3. Click Query Resources.

4. Review the matching resources in the table.

5. To clear filters, click Reset.

Edit Resource Tags

Editing resource tags adds, modifies, or removes tags from an existing resource for later search and grouping.

1. After finding the target resource, select the edit tag action in Operation.

2. Review the tags currently associated with the resource.

3. Add new key-value tags or remove tags that are no longer needed.

4. Click OK.

5. Return to the resource list and confirm that Tag Count is updated.

Tag List

Basic Concepts

• Tag List: The collection of tag key-value pairs created under the current account.

• Resource Count: The number of resources bound to a tag. It helps determine whether the tag is still in use.

• Bind Resource: Applies a tag to one or more cloud resources.

• Unbind Resource: Removes a tag from resources without necessarily deleting the tag itself.

The Tag List page is used to create, bind, unbind, and delete tags. Go to Tags > Tag List. The table displays Tag Key, Tag Value, Resource Count, and Operation.

Create a Tag

Creating a tag creates key-value pairs that can be bound to resources. The parameters are described below:

Configuration Area	Parameter	Description
Create Tag	Tag Key	The tag key, used as the tag category. You can enter a new key or select an existing key to add a new value.
	Tag Value	The tag value under the selected key.
	Add Tag Key	Adds another tag key-value pair. Up to 10 key-value pairs can be created at a time.

To create a tag:

1. On the Tag List page, click Create Tag.

2. Enter Tag Key.

3. Enter Tag Value.

4. To create multiple tags at once, click Add Tag Key.

5. Click Confirm.

Bind a Tag to Resources

Binding a tag applies it to selected cloud resources.

1. On the Tag List page, locate the target tag.

2. In Operation, select the bind resource action.

3. Select the region, cloud product, and resources.

4. Confirm the relationship and click OK.

5. Return to the tag list and confirm that Resource Count increased.

Unbind a Tag from Resources

Unbinding a tag removes it from selected resources.

1. On the Tag List page, locate the target tag.

2. In Operation, select the unbind resource action.

3. Select the resources to unbind.

4. Click OK.

5. Return to the tag list and confirm that Resource Count decreased.

Delete a Tag

Deleting a tag removes the tag key-value pair. Before deleting a tag, make sure it is no longer used by resources.

1. On the Tag List page, select one or more tags.

2. Click Batch Delete, or select the delete action in a row.

3. Review the tag key and value in the confirmation dialog.

4. Click OK.
