Quotas

Usage

Basic Concepts

  • Quota: The resource limit available to the account in a specified region.

  • Used Quota: The amount of resource already consumed.

  • Quota Usage Rate: The ratio of used quota to current quota, used to determine whether the account is approaching the limit.

  • Apply Quota: Requests a higher resource limit through a ticket.

  • Buy Instance: Opens the instance creation page from the quota page to quickly add compute resources.

The quota usage page shows the current quota and usage for a selected region. Go to Quotas > Usage and select a region. The table displays Quota Object, Quota Unit, Current Quota, Used Quota, Quota Usage Rate, and Operation.

Common quota objects include Cloud Instance, vCPU, Memory, Public IP, and Disk Capacity. Click Refresh to update quota usage.

Apply for Quota

Applying for quota opens the ticket submission workflow. Prepare the quota object, expected value, region, and business reason before submission. The parameters are described below:

Configuration Area Parameter Description
Quota Usage Quota Object The quota object to increase, such as Cloud Instance, vCPU, Memory, Public IP, or Disk Capacity.
Current Quota The current resource limit.
Used Quota The resource amount already used.
Ticket Product The ticket product type. Select Cloud Hosting for ECS quota requests.
Category The ticket category. Select a category related to quota or availability.
Description Describe the region, expected quota value, business purpose, and urgency.

To apply for quota:

  1. In the Usage table, locate the quota object to increase.

  2. Click Apply Quota in the row.

  3. The page opens the ticket submission workflow.

  4. In Select Product, choose Cloud Hosting.

  5. In Select Category, choose the category related to quota or availability.

  6. In Describe Question, provide the quota object, expected value, region, and business reason.

  7. After submitting the ticket, track the request in Ticket Record.

Buy an Instance

Buying an instance opens the instance creation page from the quota page. It is useful when users review quota and then need to create resource.
