EDGE DC(PT Ekagrata Data Gemilang), a leading data center operator in Indonesia and a subsidiary of Indonet (PT Indointernet Tbk). Through this collaboration, EdgeNext officially expands the market to Indonesia by launching edge cloud services at EDGE2, EDGE DC's carrier-neutral facility located in central Jakarta.
The availability of EdgeNext in the EDGE2 facility enables the company to deliver a complete suite of edge cloud solutions, including CDN, smoother streaming, security services, and edge computing, to businesses and service providers in Southeast Asia's largest digital economy. The collaboration supports EdgeNext's expansion strategy in the Asia Pacific region while strengthening EDGE DC's position as a hub for global cloud and content platforms.
The partnership combines EdgeNext's global edge infrastructure with more than 1,500 nodes in 290+ cities around the world, with a high-performance, low-latency EDGE DC data center environment . EDGE DC provides colocation services and access to the Edge Peering Internet Exchange (EPIX), which allows EdgeNext to connect with various networks and service providers. In addition, Indonet, the parent company of EDGE DC, also supports fiber optic connectivity, to ensure fast and stable access throughout the region.
Indonesia's digital infrastructure is experiencing rapid growth. This is driven by rising cloud adoption, surge in data consumption, and digitalization in the business sector. The national data center market is also estimated to reach revenue of USD 3.54 billion by 2025, with a contribution from network infrastructure of USD 2.36 billion. Revenue from colocation services is also projected to reach USD 675.1 million in the same year, with an annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22.84% through 2030. The location of the EDGE2 strategy in close proximity to various Internet exchanges and major operators promises optimal connectivity, making it ideal as a launching ground for EdgeNext edge cloud services in the region.
